They call catcher's gear, “the tools of ignorance”. This course will disprove that notion. Here potential catchers will learn to use the gear as “the tools of leadership”, because that is what a catcher needs to be. Not only a leader, but an on-the-field general.  This is a position I take great pride in teaching and encourage anyone interested in learning the position or simply wanting to take the next step, to join this course.

 

 

Box and cones drills will be specifically formatted to unique catching situations. Focus will be to increase strength and quickness in footwork, and throwing motion to all four bases. Covering scenarios on ball-in-dirt, bunts, plate blocking and steal attempts. This course attacks the fundamental principle that balance and positioning turns average catchers into great receivers.
